Our Story
A History Spanning Decades
A Vision for the Next Generation
Center Cross Academy is an educational initiative that has been undertaken by more than 100 churches in the Saint Louis Metro area, working collaboratively to see a rigorous, accessible K-12 Christian school developed right in the heart of South City.
Back in 1978, Tower Grove Baptist Church began a school in this location that educated and discipled students faithfully for decades. In 2024, the broader network of the Saint Louis Metro Baptist Association decided to partner with the church and invest significantly in seeing the school grow and thrive into the next generation. From this spirit of collaboration and a desire to see student leaders developed in our city, Center Cross Academy was born.

Strengthening Academic and Spiritual Foundations
We will continue building a rigorous, Christ-centered curriculum that nurtures both the mind and the heart. By investing in teacher development and student support, we aim to create an environment where every student can thrive.
Expanding Access and Grade Levels
We’re growing intentionally – adding grade levels over time and offering scholarships and resources to ensure more families across St. Louis City can access a high-quality Christian K-12 education.
Enriching Student Experience
Through new extracurricular programs, leadership opportunities, and service projects, we will cultivate students who are confident, compassionate, and equipped to lead in their communities.
Growing Our Presence in the Community
By deepening partnerships with local churches, organizations, and families, we will strengthen our role as a community hub for faith, learning, and service.
